“Revengeance” is the latest animated feature from the legend of the New York independent animation, Bill Plympton, co-created with the underground cartoonist, Jim Lujan. The film is promoted with a tagline: “Revenge is a dish best served animated!” A teenage girl seeks revenge on those who hurt her – a bikers gang and an ex-wrestler turned senator named “Deathface.” Things get complicated when a low-rent bounty hunter named Rod Rosse arrives on scene. The Sight&Sound Magazine described Plympton-Lujan film as an “unbridled, caustic, grotesquely comic vision of America.”
The film premiered at L’Étrange Festival in Paris on September, 2016. It was awarded by the juries of the Nashville Film Festival and the Worldfest Houston Film Festival.
